Year 2011 was educational & massively interesting. Its been a year since I lost the one thing that I never knew I would miss so much until it was taken away from me. I gave myself a year to mourn that lost. In this one year, I have gone out to do the things that I don't usually do. Take leaps. Like walking on water or bathing a fish. lolz. Well, the year has finally come to an end, and I pushed my heart almost off a cliff & damaged my body more than enough, all in the hopes that it would ease the pain and let the guilt subside. As it would turn out, pain never really goes away, and guilt can never fully subside.

2011 has been a little kind to me as well ~ I've made new friends, and some of that friendship blossomed into something special. I've met friends who have definitely created footprints in my heart, for the things I've learnt about myself and life in general would not have been the same without them. Sometimes, the most unexpected people walk into your life, and they become ones that you never want to live without.

And friends that were always there before have moved onto a deeper level of intimacy, closer than ever. Of course there were squabbles and "let's talk/hack it out" conversations, but those are what made friendship flourish.

Every year new memories are created, some are created for us, and some we create for ourselves. I learnt that if you don't take a moment & turn it memorable, that moment remains ordinary.

Some invisible lines are okay to cross, and once you do, that heart thumping, blood rushing sensation that it gives you would tell you that crossing that line was worth it after all.

Know that holding back would not give you the satisfaction that you crave for. Kiss on impulse, Slap someone just cos you want to, laugh till everybody in the room is staring at you, scream when a cockroach lands on your shoulder (fregggin scary stuff... brrr), jump up & down on your bed holding a stolen mic singing "Wanna Be" by Spice girls, dye your hair pink (hmm, I think I did that last year..), do a surprise Ramly burger delivery at 3am on a weekday to your best friend in your pyjamas. Just don't hold back too much on the fun stuff and you'll be smiling just a lil more often than you usually do!

Word of advise ~ after torturing yourself by drowning in alcohol, in addition to the pounding in your head, the same problems are there to slap you in the face in the morning. Face your problems head on and never deny pain when pain is what you are feeling. Sometimes we have to work through the pain, not smile or party through it.

Take note: Guys who open doors, pull out chairs, deliver food to you when you are sick, or Vitagen to your doorstep just cos they want to and lend you their warm arm in the cinema still exists *smiles*

Something I endure every year, people WILL talk about you, its quite inevitable unless you are a loner living on a farm with only a bunch of sheep (and even THAT, you are unsure if the sheep are gossiping amongst themselves, and YOU are the topic of conversation). Some topics you hear and go... "Whhaaattt?! I didn't know I had a third eye" *rollseyes* and some topics you hear and quietly think "Dammit, I deserve that." Whichever it is, you move on.

Overall, 2011 has tipped its scale more to "AWESOME" for me. The timeline given to myself to be partly bitter & jaded about love & life has finally come to end ~ which marks a new beginning.

Let's raise our glass to the coming year. Welcome 2012!!! *Cheers!*

But my trembling hands laid motionless on this rusty old piano.
My cold feet remained unsteady on the una corde pedal.
I stared blankly at deformed sheets that held my past affection.
The beauty of Clair de Lune couldn’t register.
I sat frozen on the obselete piano bench; with silent tears as I felt Debussy slip away.
I took a lungful of air as I flipped through the pages; and a great pang of pain hit me,
The Sonata di chiesa just didn’t make sense anymore.
Bach; the Urvater der Harmonie died within me.
The baroque era vanished from my heart.
I tried, god how I tried.
I struggled to absorb the vague familiar notes at my fingertips,
to recollect the touch of this vintage instrument.
But still, reminisce of a pianoforte I once loved didn’t recuperate,
the symphony doesn’t assimilate.
No melody in my head.
No harmony in my body.
There was no rhythm in me.
Gone were my musical laughter.
All I felt was dust and emptiness.
Music was my passion,
Music was my obsession,
Music; was me.
And now, here I stood broken;
Plunging into it like a bottle of brandy
Even so, it remains foreign.
Suddenly crystals washed over and it struck me,
Music cannot cure whatever’s beyond repair.
Music cannot heal you, if you’re already dead within.
Nothing can.

New Year's Eve (2011)

Almost similar to the movie Valentine's Day released in 2010, directed also by Gary Marshall is "New Year's Eve"!!

Whilst Valentine's day was about how the lives of city dwellers were intertwined somehow by love. Add to that the pressure of Valentine's day that drives the love bells ringing to a higher notch; New Year's Eve promises a similar 'intertwine-ment'!! *smiles*

Some of my favourite celebrities are starring in this movie; Sarah Jessica Parker, Ashton Kutcher, Sofia Vergara (absolutely love her character in 'Modern Family'), Jon Bon Jovi, Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel (who is the only reason I watch the series 'Las Vegas' lolz), Robert De Niro.

Hello Club Med!

For my best friend's birthday this year, we decided to all take a short break & unwind and relax. Destination: Club Med, Cherating.

Roda Trip!!

The Crew...

I was in the back seat with Su Ann & David. David was pillowed in between of course. lolz.

Darling bestfriend Charms decided to buy these sinfully sweet mini doughnuts. Baby Ann was munching on it like no body's business and she was getting sugar high!!! couldn't stop laughing!!! Had to pry the doughnuts off her hands.

We arrived and had our briefing.

First place we headed, with our heavy bags still lunged onto us... the bar. We wanted to start our vacation right away!!!

Our room was not too far a walk from the main area.

Our bed. Liking the pretty touch of orchid.

The four of us decided to try their tea-time makans while the rest went..... hmmm, i dont remember. haihz.

Every night was a different theme. There was a White theme, African theme, Asia Theme.

We secretly transported this Jelly Cake all the way from KL. This is how it looked like the night the candles were to be lighted. The 'Happy Birthday' was all over the place!!! and we noticed one candle missing *soreeee Charms!!* (pssstttt... she was having so much fun, she does not know till today that there was a missing candle)

We were taking a stroll by the beach... with absolutely nothing to do. And Malisse quietly drew this.

It caught on....

And..... *drunrolllll* TADAAAA!

Chinese New years was spend back home, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As we do every year. Its an occasion that I look forward to every year! I come from a hugeeeee family. So family gatherings are always a *woohoo!* occasion for me *hearts* Love the conversations, the time capsule back to memory lane, the "OMG! I can't believe we did that!", the outings, the parties, the laughter, the memories that it leaves till the next year arrives.

We did the usual Sutera Harbour chillout, take picture thing of course.

The last time I was back here, there were no such thing as KK Times Square. The place to go when you wanted to club was always Shenanigan's. Now there is Chocolate Factory & White Room at KK Times Square.

It turned out to be a pretty awesome night. Hahahahaha.

I have NO IDEA howwww....., it turned out to be some sort of a kiss fest! lolz.

Everyone half emo-ing, half happy! hahahah.

Drink, Drank, Drunk!!

The next day we had our annual Chinese New Year Open House.

The guestlist held at least 100 people!!

The one thing missing thing missing this year was the Dragon Dance.

But the Lion did hold a very entertaining performance (:

There are alot more events while I was back in KK but i cannot seem to find the pictures!! *fruss*

Anyhoo.

I had to leave while the Lion dance was going on, had to catch a flight back to KL, back to the city. Because I was going to leave for Langkawi with the subang bunch. That unfortunately did not happen, because as soon as I got home, I realised that one of my 4 dogs was missing.

We found him back after 4 days of not sleeping & eating only when reminded.

That is another story all together.

On the 21st of May, Babysis & I went to Shakespeare's Globe

It was her birthday and this was what she wanted to do!

We watched King Henry VIII

Our seats were pretty good.

If I look straight ahead, this was my view.

The Globe started to fill up.

We were not allowed to take any pictures during the show, but we manage to sneak a few snaps. lolz. This was one of the clear shots. The rest were really blur.

The London Eye!! I wanted to go on it, but I am afraid of heights!! So I skipped it :(

As I recall, that day was a REALLY REALLY hot day. I was burning! knowing how hot it was going to be, I wanted to bring an umbrella, but my sister was very clear with her words...

"When there is sun, people take of their shirts and walk around... If you are going to carry an umbrella, you can walk alone!" hahaha.

Tower Bridge

(the bridge that many people mistaken for London Bridge)

Traitors Gate is the water gate under St. Thomas Tower at the Tower of London. Dated to more than 400 years back, prisoners who were committed to the Tower of London through River Thames entered through this gate.

I wanted explore the Tower of London, but we got there pretty late and we wouldn't be able to finish the touring the place with the amount of time left.

Leave that to next year.

WATER GARDENS!!!!

I just HAD to visit this place.

I stayed here in year 1995.

1995 was a memorable holiday!!!!

The unit that we stayed in almost burnt to crumbs, thanks to Estelle who wanted soup.

It was so exciting for us (look at us, we were so young!)

What happened was - All the adults had gone out (to where... I don't recall) and one of my aunt was left in charge of us.

The neighbour wanted to show my aunt her apartment unit. Standing just outside of our unit, my aunt did not realise that we, all the kids had left our unit and were now in the neighbours unit.

See, our apartment door was the kind of door that automatically locks once you shut it and cannot be accessed from the outside. The key was left inside the apartment.

When the adults came back;

One of my uncle tried to climb from balcony to balcony to enter our unit.

We called the lock smith and he could not do anything.

We went downstairs to ask the dude working there to dial the fire department and the bastard asked for 1000 pounds!!!

Eventually, the neighbours kid dialed the fire department.

They came just in time I would say, smoke was already seeping out from under the door.

When the fire man kicked the door open (it was truly a heroic sight, the kind you see in the movies... lol)

and cloud of smoke puffed into the hallway.

The pot had melted.

This was us... the cousin generation, in Water Gardens. This was in 1995.

Was at Mid Valley one day to watch The Time Traveler's wife. Whilst waiting for the 1145pm show, my friend & I came across this 'Love Test' machine.

I made a comment "who in the world would ACTUALLY take this stupid love test?!"

My friend looked at what i was talking about & said "eh! come lets try!"

So... a 20cent coin was donated to this machine.

We never seem to get bored with this place which most of us call our weekend home.

It started out to be a very BLAH night because we arrived early & the place was really empty!

Then as usual, slightly after midnight, things started to pick up.

Khairena & I went to Phuture for our tequila shots *lol* (the 2 shots that got us 'there')

and shortly after we went to Barsonic to look for Alda

Hopeless Romantic?

While Mr. Lecturer was talking about money, banking, laws, .... *yawn*, I was sitting behind, randomly doodling (whilst i was listening Mr. Lecturer).... & this was what the doodle turned out to look like.

BFF brought up the fact that everytime i doodle (since high school), some form of 'heart' will turn up, usually similar to the design above.... hahaha.

She also told me that I am a hopeless romantic... *lol*

Sister & Mother & cousins also said the same thing....

High school BFF's also said the same thing...

well,

I AM NOT.

To proof that I am NOT a hopeless romantic, here, a few definitions of a hopeless romantic I stumbled across:

1 ♥ A person who daydreams about romantic occasions and dreams of chances where he/she will be able to perform a romantic act to their love, yet never gets the chance to. (this is just sad! OMG, definitely not me)

2 ♥ This person is in love with love. They believe in fairy tales and love. All hopeless romantics are idealists, the sentimental dreamers, the imaginative, and the fanciful when you get to know them. They often live with rose colored glasses on. They make love look like an art form with all the romantic things they do for their special someone. (I do not believe in fairytales, i believe in reality.. it is what it is)

3 ♥ A hopeless romantic is not the same as a hopeless flirter. A hopeless romantic dreams of who they will spend the rest of their life with and what the two of them will do together. They want to be romanced with sweet simple things and the thoughtful amazing surprises. They dream of being loved but also loving somebody. They don't just want somebody to hold them, they also want to hold someone. They realize that love isn't just about one person but both people, they are hopelessly in love with being loved AND loving back. (this is just stupid, of corse EVERYONE wants to love & be loved, but of corse we don't EXPECT it to happen, it might, it might not)

4 ♥ Someone that thinks of love passionately (???)

5 ♥ A hopeless romantic is one who looks for the a singular person on this world that makes their world come together. They are indeed looking for the man or woman of their dreams. As a result, they prefer not to live in reality. The hopeless romantic knows the reality of love is that reality has no business being in love. This is why they will often perform grandiose gestures that may be seen as unsettling or borderline crazy to non-romantics. But to the fellow few romantics, these same gestures will be adored as beautifully and obscenely quixotic. And such is the "hope" of the hopeless romantic- to not only find the one who loves receiving such love, but loves giving such love. And the true hopeless romantic would always rather give than receive. Because they know then and only then, will there be true love. (I do not perform grandiose gestures!!! Yes, I'd rather give than receive, but that's `cos I am a nice person!!, not because I think only by giving there will be true love!!)

6 ♥ Someone who no matter how many times their heart gets broken they still believe in the concept of "happily ever after" with that one special person. (DO NOT believe in "Happily ever after"... anymore)

Now tell me... do these definitions of a hopeless romantic sound even CLOSE to who I am??!!!

Mirror of Pain

I stumbled across this & thought i'd share it with you. I could feel her emotions when i read it & thought that maybe you'd get a kick out of it too... *lol* After reading this, i thank God that I am a rather happyy soul!!
Well, here goes....
I don’t know what I am doing anymore. This is the life I have created for myself, a nightmare that I have personalized. Every spec, detail, sentiment… I have personalized... and I now live in it. You know how sometimes you have a nightmare which you cannot wake up from until you have defeated your monster? well, its kind of like that. I cannot seem to leave the horror movie which I have directed. I wrote the script and was totally in control of how the movie was turning out, but somehow now, the pen that wrote the script seem to have a life of itself. I started something that I somehow cannot end. I’m sucked into this whirlpool of torment, anger, hurt and pain.

A masochist – a person who enjoys the indulgence of pain. Maybe I am a masochist; maybe I do enjoy the pain. Or maybe, I’ve been living with this pain for so long now that I’ve gotten use to it, to the extreme that, without it, I feel empty inside. Maybe I am addicted to the pain that’s why I keep going back for more. Pain is my drug, pain is what keeps me from feeling empty. That really sucks, but that would explain why I put myself through this over and over and over again!

I go to a place that I feel so unwelcome, so unloved, and yet I am able to feel comfortable! Is it because the pain is comforting? I don’t know. Writing these lines down, I realize that I am probably not as sound as I think I am.

How do I get out of this addiction? I doubt the world has a place for people who are addicted to emotional pain. Do I allow him to hurt me over and over and over again because I simply love him? or it is simply because he quenches my thirst for being hurt emotionally & for feeling physical pain without actually having to hands on do it to myself? Do I challenge him when I know he is about to use his fist to speak because I KNOW that I would be able to feel pain physically?

The question that everyone is asking: WHY ARE YOU STILL WITH HIM?
The answer: I don’t know. I have absolutely no idea why I am still hung onto this man, the man who has physically damaged my face once, bruised my naked flesh repeatedly, the man who has repeatedly poured alcohol on emotional wounds which have not healed, the man who people say will one day be the cause of my if not tragic, an unhappy ending.

Again and again, even after being pushed to the limits, there’s still further to push. Even after I feel that I cannot possibly feel more pain then before, I feel it; Pain raking through my heart, questions rushing through my mind, like my whole world is dissolving before me. How on earth did I get myself into this tangled mess??!!

I’d much rather be addicted to cocaine or cannabis than be addicted to pain. How do I allow myself to get hurt by the same person over and over and over again? How do I allow this monster disguised as a man to call me a slut, a whore, a bitch and other profanities directly to my face? Why am I allowing him to control my life?

I know I have so much to look forward to, I have so much to give and so much to share. But this man is stunting me, depriving my family, and friends of what I have to give.
I don't know how much more of these tragedy I am able to inhale. One day, i might choke & never wake up or i might grow wings & fly away.

I remember at one point, we played a game.... a spinning game.... while i spun Kay, she spun me... it was like a dance, haha, we wanted to see who was able spin the longest!!!! hahahahahaha..... i lost obviously, ended up with my butt on the floor!!! *lolz* was hilarious i tell you!!!!

This was the last part.... when 'i gotta feeling' started to play.... Kay grabbed my hands, held on uber tight, and ran as fast as she could to the crowd!!!!!! she just did not bother who or what was in the way... it was scary letting her drag you like that, esp if you are alittle drunk!

So we got to the crowd and started screaming to the top of our lungs...... 'woooooohooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!'

and we were jumping like f*king hooligans!!!

I became one of those typical 'concert folks' who screams for more. hahahaha.

Who knew so much can happen in 7 days huh? hmmm, lets see.... past 7 days have been crazy, unexpected, eye-opening, educational, hilariously fun (there was a santa clause incident @ Werner's... lolz), entertaining, exciting, not to mention pleasurable; in a nutshell, it was not the kind of week that I anticipated... it turned out to be better :) haha.

Greetings! Single ladies out there.... you will absolutely LURVEEEE what i have in store for you, hahaha (be patient, you will find out why).

Yesterday (6 September 2009) Charms & I went rock climbing again (YAY! we kept to our 'must go every weekend' word, but so far only 2 weeks la...) and AGAIN Andrew was our instructor. But this round, instead of only rock climbing, he thought us some bouldering!

Given instructions by tania to publish a new post, i am left with no choice but to just post a new blog on her behalf. So, there goes..a new post by her best friend. I shall testify what i know of Tania ever since we both met at a holy place.

If anyone knows Tania at all, she's never been insignificant in all her friend's & family's lives. All who knows her, knows of her friendly nature. You need someone to just listen, she'll be constantly all ears..though listening at the wake of a hangover, buzzing. heh....the colourful journey with this drama-filled lady can never be replayed, nor replaced, but possibly reminisced through our secret diaries we've both kept for years. (thinking about it, where's mine?)

She's eagerly putting on her make-up and i'm still figuring out which attire should i 'borrow' from her. 'Borrow' meaning, you will see one or two tops/dresses hidden back in our wardrobe months later....even years..ahhahaha. no place in mind, we'll let the road lead us to some place chilled, dim and cozy tonight, so we can linger at the presence of some decent drinks and good ol' laughter. (yes, she shared our awfully painful laughing night out). Always ending up at the same place is not fun anymore...but then again, the night always turns out to surprise us in return *grinnn* Good company, silly conversations, and some beer cheers, you will imagine how the scenario evolves to a crazy mad night.

Is this long enough Ms. blogger? I have not blogged in years but this seems a little entertaining for now. But lemme entertain you a little more....*winking*

1. I love how their voice is low & deep (*sigh* very sexy)

2. I love how they try their very best to protect their other half from other men :p

3. I love how they look just after they wake up.

4. I love how men never really completely grow up & still appreciate things like comics, anime, & cute dogs.

5. I love how they are passionate about their music/ car/ sports (to the point where they usually name their music instrument or car & call it & treat it like their wife...
whereas, we girls, all we name is our doll & all we do is bring it to bed with us! hehehe)

6. I love the intense look when they are trying to fix a problem or a thing (be it fix the tv, car, computer, etc...)

One Friday Night @ Werner's

`Twas the last Friday of August that Charms picked me up from my home to go to her home to get ready for a 'chilling-not-too-noisy-not-too-drunk' night. Dressing to the occasion of 'chilling-not-too-noisy-not-too-drunk' night, we headed to Changkat B.B.
Our first stop... the usual Bar Italia.

I was expecting, like i said, a 'not-too-noisy-not-too-drunk' (lets call it the N T N N T D) night therefore I ordered one glass of wine & told myself.. that's it for tonight, one glass (hahaha i know what you're thinking)
Anyhoo, one glass led to another and another and ...

Charms, I & Kay have never laughed sooooo...... much in a night!!!!
We laughed so much that Charms actually had her ab muscles working *LoLz*
Laughter was caused by boredom which led to a extended candid picture taking phase (all our stupid candid faces are in Jo's camera) which then led to extremely doltish topics & conversations... of cos adding the childish; finger poking (Charms discoved a way to annoy Johan... & blame it on me, hahaha), girl "language" & Sathia (is that how you spell his name?) overly drunk lying down on the cushion... Mad levels of laughter was inevitable!!!!!!!

Charms & I went rock climbing!!!! yes yes.... one scrawny & one rather exercise challenged girl rock climbing... what were we thinking huh? *LoLz*

Andrew Ang... our "instructor"guided us through the whole way :) thanx Andrew!!!

Anyhoo, Charms went first....

After Charms & climbed up & down 2 times... it was my turn.

So i thought, "That looks easy... it'll be a breeze..."

(Or so i thought)

& up i went...

I did not even realise that there was an ass near my face till now. Haha, that's how into the climb I was. Was afraid of falling!

Ok.. for those of you who don't know the ropes, here it is.

You see the diffrernt colour blocks (i don't know what you call those)?

You are suppose to choose a colour & follow it... that's what we climbers (cheh wah.... "we climbers" macam expert already. hahaha) call routes :)

At this point i just wanted to get back on the ground. But our "instructor" is very strict... like 'guru disiplin' he'll make us finish the route before we can get back on the ground, which is a good thing... like a coach :)

All in all, Charmaine did 6 routes!!!! I did only 4.

Lesson to learn... don't climb when you are severely hungover!!!

woke up at 11am with a super bad hangover. Called Charms to postpone our rock climbing activity to 3pm instead of 2pm. Went back to bed. Woke up at 12pm. Went downstairs to manja with mummy so that she'll make me cheese toast *yum* Finished cheese toast. Shower. Blow hair. Got dressed. Put on make up (yes i know... you are wondering... "girl, you going rock climbing also wanna put on make up ar??" my answer is... "yes, it's my face, i do whatever i want to it.") and thenn... picked Chrams up went to One Utama to meet our 'instructor' Andrew Ang. Climbed till 6pm. Went home, showered again... whole process of getting ready... then rushed to PJ Hilton for Buka Puasa Buffet. Night ended in Frangipani @ Changkat... & then i went home.

ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! today was a day filled with loads of stuff to do. Presentations, meetings, making appointments, rescheduling, etc... after a full day of busy-ness, i expected to be able to go out at night & dance my day's stress away.... but NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! here i am at midnight, at home, typing this blog.

Anyhoo... last Friday, i was suppose to stay home & have a quiet evening with my BF. BUT... (there's always a 'but') he fell asleep!!! (he had promised to stay awake that night & layan my stupidity, whatever it was). So.... to refrain myself from waking him up & causing a fight, i called my look-a-like, Fiona. She invited me to this place in Hartamas called MINT, it was the opening of MINT. At the same time Prashant was asking me on MSN if i was going nwhere, i invited him to come along. So there we were in MINT, me, Time, Prashant, Fiona, Wye King, Joe, & some other ppl la. Then Fiona the big mouth announced that it was my birthday!!! stupid bitch, i ended up with a cake & the WHOLE PUB sang happy birthday to me! after the birthday cake, i wanted to go home cos i had to teach piano the next morn (YES YES YES A MILLION TIMES, I CAN & DO TEACH PIANO!). Butttttt...... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! the 2 donkeys Prashant & Tim had to get into my fragile head & they managed to psycho me into going to Barclub with them!

i wanted to drive to BarClub, Prashant said 'no'. Prashant's excuse "dangerous la, got road block." Tim wanted me to drive, his excuse "you need to leave early rite? when you leave u can fetch me back here."

After debating over beer & chivas, Prashant won. But i had to make sure... "we will leave Barclub latest 1am ok?!!! Make sure ah!!!"

he said "yes la aiyoh... 1am latest..."

we left Barclub at 4am. F*%#!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahha.

but i had tonnes of fun la... Melinda, ShuWen, Crystal & 12 more of them came because they wanted to celebrate my birthday!!! Awwwww..... how sweet!!! *LOVE*

a nice guy working there - RICK, bought me 2 flamings!! thanx Rick!

so after 2 flamings & alottttt of JD..... Party Party Party!!! then go home & zZzzzzzzzzzZZZZzzZZZz......

next day was puking like a mother*$#%er *GAG* had to post-pone my Piano classes!!!

We went to this place called Bubba Gump in Curve. The food wasss.. fairly good!

I had the Bourbon Street Baramundi; its Cajun-Cajun-Spiced baramundi topped with bourbon street sauce and grilled shrimps served over mashed potatoes, a perfect combination!

Check this out :: see the "RUN FORREST RUN" sign?
that is to indicate to the waiter's that we do not need their assistance (as yet) and when you are ready to order, you just flip the sign backward and you would see a bright red sign reading "STOP FORREST STOP". kewl huh? hahah... there is even a ping-pong bat which holds the dessert menu. Also there is a metal bucket containing condiments. Unique, i like :)
